Privacy Policy
How Veristruct Pty Ltd collects, uses, stores and protects the personal information you give us.
1. Who we are
Veristruct Pty Ltd (ABN 92 699 702 139) is an engineering consultancy based in Mudgee, New South Wales, providing asset integrity, reliability and repair engineering services across Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Veristruct Pty Ltd.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), whether or not the Act strictly applies to us.
2. What we collect
We collect only the information needed to respond to you and deliver our services. This is typically:
- Your name, job title and company or site.
- Business contact details: email address and phone number.
- Details of the asset, problem or project you tell us about.
- Records of our correspondence with you.
We do not ask for, and ask you not to send, sensitive information such as health, financial account or government identifier details.
3. How we collect it
- Website enquiry form. Submissions on VeristructEng.com are processed by Netlify Forms and delivered to our email.
- LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms. If you respond to a Veristruct advertisement or sponsored post on LinkedIn, LinkedIn passes us the details you consent to share on that form. LinkedIn's own handling of your data is governed by the LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
- Direct contact. Email, phone, meetings, site visits, tender or supplier-portal submissions.
- Publicly available sources. Business contact details published on company websites or professional profiles, used only for business-to-business contact.
4. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and to scope, quote and deliver engineering work.
- To manage the client relationship, including invoicing and project records.
- To send you relevant information about our services where you have enquired, opted in, or where a business contact would reasonably expect it. You can opt out at any time (see section 8).
- To meet legal, insurance, professional and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where needed to deliver our services or run the business:
- Service providers that host our systems: Microsoft 365 (email and document storage), Netlify (website and enquiry form) and LinkedIn (lead forms and advertising).
- Sub-consultants engaged on your project, such as a Chartered or Registered Professional Engineer providing independent review, only to the extent needed for that work.
- Professional advisers, insurers or regulators where required by law.
Some providers store data outside Australia. Where that happens, we rely on the provider's own privacy commitments and security controls.
6. Storage and security
Personal information is held in access-controlled Microsoft 365 business systems. We use reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect it from misuse, loss, unauthorised access and disclosure. We keep information for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected and, for engineering project records, for as long as our professional and legal record-keeping obligations require.
7. Cookies and analytics
VeristructEng.com may use basic analytics to understand how the site is used. Any analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally. LinkedIn may set cookies when you interact with our content on its platform, under LinkedIn's own policy.
8. Marketing and opting out
If you no longer want to hear from us, reply to any message with "unsubscribe" or email enquiries@veristructeng.com. We will action the request promptly.
9. Access and correction
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Email enquiries@veristructeng.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some information where a legal or professional obligation requires it.
10. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we have handled your information, contact us first at the address above. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its effective date, is always published at VeristructEng.com/privacy.html.
