3D scanning and digital inspection.
Plant decisions often stall on missing geometry or missing condition data. Veristruct captures the asset on site and turns it into information you can act on: a registered point cloud, measured condition records, and a defect register that can be tracked over time.
What the data is for
- As-built geometry where drawings do not exist or no longer match the plant, for repair design, modifications and fit-up.
- Wear and deformation measured rather than estimated, on chutes, liners, bodies and structures.
- A condition baseline to compare against at the next shutdown, so change is measured, not guessed.
- Thermography to find hot spots and abnormal temperatures on mechanical plant.
- Defect tracking that links each finding to a location, a photograph and a decision.
How it works
- Scope the capture. The decisions the data must support set the coverage, the level of detail and the access needed.
- Capture on site. Scanning and photography in a planned window. Access, isolations and permits are arranged by site.
- Process and register. Individual scans are registered into a single point cloud and checked.
- Interpret and report. Measurements, condition records and findings, tied back to the engineering questions that started the job.
Captured on site, delivered remotely
The site visit is the short part. Processing, measurement and reporting happen remotely, so the data reaches your engineers, drafters and contractors quickly, in formats their software can open. A scan also becomes the baseline for the next inspection, which is where it keeps paying for itself.

What format is the data delivered in?
The point cloud and any extracted geometry are delivered in formats agreed at scoping, to suit your CAD or viewing software.
How accurate is the scan?
Accuracy depends on the equipment, the range, the surfaces and the registration. The accuracy expected for your application is stated in the scope before capture, not after.
Does the plant need to be shut down?
Not always. Much external geometry can be captured with plant running, subject to site rules. Internal surfaces, such as the inside of chutes and bins, usually need a planned window with access and isolation arranged by site.
Is one scan day enough?
It depends on the size of the asset and the access. A standard asset or area often fits in a day; larger or complex-access work is scoped as an extended day or several days.
